NARS NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette | The Neutral Palette

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to very excitedly share with you the new NARSissist Eye Palette, a beautiful neutral eyeshadow palette that I ordered straight away as soon as it hit the NARS website. I decided it would be an early birthday present to myself, and so far I am in love with it.
The NARSissist palette comes with 15 neutral eyeshadows, 5 matte and 10 shimmer. It is a neutral eyeshadow lovers dream as all of the shades are so wearable and versatile.
All About Eve #1 - A flesh-toned neutral shimmery shadow that is very subtle but great for washing all over the lid or for highlighting.
Madrague #1: A matte cream shadow, again very subtle but amazing for washing all over the lid.
Belissima #1: A shimmery ivory that is perfect for highlighting.
Madrague #2: A warm matte light brown that is great for adding definition to the crease and perfect for day to day wear.
Nepal: A shimmery rose gold that is so pretty for all over the lid.
Lhasa: A shimmery, almost mauve/lilac shade that is super pretty is the crease or all over the lid as a sheer wash of colour.
Fez: A very warm shimmery copper brown, perfect for adding warmth to a look.
Ashes to Ashes: A beautiful shimmery purple brown which is lovely all over the lid for a sheer wash of colour.
Bad Behaviour: A shimmery navy that is quite different but still gorgeous in the crease.
Bali: A matte brown that is perfect for adding definition to the crease.
Brousse #2: A shimmery violet that is quite different but looks really pretty in the crease as it can really smoke up an eye look.
Dogon #2: A shimmery black with blue and green undertones that is great as an eyeliner or smokey eye.
Coconut Grove: A matte chocolate brown that is lovely in the crease or as an eyeliner for a softer look.
Mekong: A shimmery version of 'Coconut Grove'. It is a chocolate brown with almost plum undertones and golden shimmer.
Pandora #2: A matte black that I love as eyeliner.

The quality of the eyeshadows is excellent, with the exception of a couple that aren't as pigmented and are a bit chalky. However, on the whole they are all very pigmented, blendable and last really well.
My favourite shades? Well I think they are all gorgeous, but in particular I love Nepal, Ashes to Ashes, Lhasa, Fez, Brousse #2 and Mekong. But I do think they are all beautiful and are extremely versatile. The potential looks for this palette are endless, which I think make it worth the money.

I purchased mine of the NARS website, but it has already sold out. The palette will though by hitting counters on the 1st February, so make sure you get down to your nearest NARS counter as soon as possible.

Let me know what you think of the NARS NARSissist Eye Palette!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for reading.

The 'No Makeup' Makeup Look | 5 Product Face

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you my 'no makeup' makeup which is a go to look for me that I love doing when I am not particularly doing much or if I just want natural looking makeup.

For the base, I skip foundation and instead use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer under my eyes to cover dark circles and around my nose to help even out any redness. I love this concealer as it feels and looks so light and natural yet provides good coverage.
I then like to use a bit of the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot along my t-zone to help prevent any excess shine throughout the day.
For my eyes I simply used the lasts of my Max Factor Clump Defy mascara to help add a bit of definition and length to my lashes.
To finish off the skin I once again used the NARS Deep Throat blush as this adds a very pretty natural pink to my cheeks.
I finished off the makeup by using the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfecter in '01' which is a light pink. This helps to add a light pink colour to my lips whilst also being very moisturising and non-sticky.

So that is my easy 'no makeup' makeup look.
I really hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful!

Real Techniques Multitask Brush and Setting Brush!

Hello everyone,
After receiving the Real Techniques Sam's Picks brush set for Christmas, I really wanted to talk about a couple of my favourite brushes in the set.
I love all of the brushes the set comes with, but in particular the Multitask brush and Setting brush have been particular favourites.
Both of the brushes are extremely soft and aren't too dense, which makes applying a light wash of any makeup really easy.
The Multitask brush I love for blush as it is the perfect size and shape. It places your blusher perfectly onto your cheeks, and because it is so soft and not too dense, it makes blending out your blusher really easy. It is also great for powder and bronzer, again because of it's size and shape.
The Setting brush is quite a small little brush, similar to the size of the Contour brush. However, it is so soft and almost quite sparse which makes it amazing for blending and setting concealer. It is the perfect size for blending in concealer and as it isn't dense, it doesn't apply powder heavily at all. It is so nice also for highlighter because it fits perfectly along your cheekbones, and I also really like it for when I apply too much bronzer or blusher, I like to use it to blend out the edges to make my makeup look a lot more natural.

In comparison to my much loved Buffing brush by Real Techniques, you can see both the Multitask and Setting brush a lot flatter and thinner in shape. They are a lot less dense but as equally as soft.

As with all Real Techniques brushes the quality is amazing as they are so soft, don't shed and wash really easily.
I highly recommend both the Multitask brush and the Setting brush as they are definitely added staples to my brush collection!

L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara!

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to do a review on the new L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga mascara.
This mascara is a relatively new release from L'Oreal and I was very curious to try it out as I had seen some really good reviews about it.
The brush is quite different as it is very flexible and a cone shaped, meaning you can reach every lash.
The formula of this mascara is very wet, which I find makes applying the mascara quite tricky and messy. I also find because the formula is very wet, your lashes can end up quite clumpy and spidery if you are not careful.
What I do really like though about this mascara is that when you do apply it right, it makes your lashes very volumised, lengthened and separated. It also slightly curls them and I do find it to last really well throughout the day. The colour is also very pigmented and I don't it to be a pain to remove at the end of the night.

Overall I do like this mascara and although it isn't my favourite mascara I have ever tried, it is still really good. I will continue to enjoy using this mascara and I am hoping once it has dried up slightly, it will be easier to apply and not quite as messy.

Let me know if you have tried the new L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga mascara and what you think of it!

NARS Illuminator | The Summer Glow

 Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you the NARS Illuminator in Orgasm, which came as a little mini sample with a NARS online order.
I have always wanted to try the NARS illuminators so was very excited to try out the product.

The shade Orgasm is a pretty peachy pink with shimmer but it is very light on the skin and doesn't add that much colour. I like to apply a small amount with my fingers along the tops of my cheekbones, and I find that the product gives a very pretty subtle sheen to the skin.
I think this illuminator will be gorgeous for the Summer as it can be built up to give your skin a natural glow. I also think it could work really well being mixed into your foundation to give that extra glow and sheen to your foundation.

Overall I do really like this illuminator as it adds a beautiful subtle sheen to the skin that I think will be particularly pretty in the Summer for that added glowy skin.

Let me know if you have tried the NARS Illuminators and what you think of them!

The Best of 2013 Part Two | Skincare, Bodycare, Nails and More

Hello everyone,
Happy Sunday!
Today I wanted to share with you the final part of my best of 2013.
This part concludes my favourite nail, skincare and body products, and a few more items that I also love.
The Nails
There have been so many nail polishes that I absolutely love, but I have managed to narrow it down to my top 4.
Firstly Essie's Sunday Funday which was released as part of their Summer collection has been a definite favourite of mine. It is a beautiful pink coral with a shimmer running through it, and the quality is amazing.
Another Essie colour is Aruba Blue, beautiful deep, almost metallic blue that I always get compliments on whenever I where it. I think it is perfect for whatever season as it is bright and fun, yet the darkness of the blue makes it perfect for the cooler months.
I have also loved a couple of OPI nail polishes this year. Firstly, OPI You're Such a Budapest is a very pretty lilac colour that is so nice for the Spring and Summer. It is a little mini size as I got it as part of their Euro Centrale collection during the Spring.
OPI Black Cherry Chutney has been my go-to Autumn and Winter nail colour as it is a gorgeous deep plum with shimmer.
Lastly I have loved the OPI Nail Envy as a base coat to my nail polish as not only does it prevent the nail polish staining my nails, but it is almost amazing for strengthening my nails. The Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat has to be one of my all time favourite product discoveries. It helps your nail polish dry so fast and leaves it with a gorgeous, gel-like shine.
The Skincare
When I was in Paris earlier in the year, I was on a mission to pick up some Bioderma as I had heard to much hype over it. Fortunately it was worth the hype as it is an amazing makeup remover and helps leave me skin feeling fresh and clean.
The Origins Super Spot Remover I have used for pretty much the whole year on my pesky blemishes. It does a really great job in getting rid of my blemishes and it has definitely become a staple in my skincare routine.
Lastly the Avene Hydrance Optimale Light Hydrating Cream although I haven't used it for long has stood out to me as one of the best moisturisers for my skin. It is so light yet so hydrating and doesn't leave my skin feeling too oily. Another product from Avene is their Cleanance Mask, a really great mask that deeply cleans the skin and helps to clear breakouts.

The Bodycare
A body cream I have loved this year is the Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Souffle Body Creme. Not only does it smell amazing, but it also moisturises my skin really well. It started off the obsession with Laura Mercier bodycare, and I haven't really been able to stop wanting to buy some more products since.
Two hand creams I have also loved are firstly, no surprises here, the Laura Mercier Fresh Fig hand cream that like the body cream, smells incredible and does a really good job of moisturising my hands. I have also really liked the Soap and Glory Hand Food as it feels so moisturising yet sinks in really quickly and doesn't leave my hands feeling sticky or tacky.
The 'Miscellaneous'
I couldn't do a 2013 favourites without mentioning a few 'miscellaneous' things.
The Real Techniques brushes have pretty much transformed the way I apply my makeup. The quality is amazing, they wash really easily and they apply makeup so well. A few of my favourites are featured above, and they include the Contour brush, the Buffing brush and the Multitask brush. The Mac 217 has also made applying eyeshadow a breeze, as it blends it out so well and is the perfect size.
I also have to mention a favourite TV series: Breaking Bad. If you haven't seen Breaking Bad I urge you to pick up the first series or watch it on Netflix if you have that as it is literally the best TV series I personally have ever watched. It is so exciting and each episode something dramatic happens which makes your heart race. It has definitely been an addiction of mine during 2013!

So they are my final favourites of 2013.
Hopefully 2014 will bring many more amazing discoveries, but for now I am more than happy to continue loving all of these products and more.

Let me know what your 2013 favourites are and why!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for reading.

The Best of 2013 Part One | Makeup

 Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a fun New Year and are looking forward to what 2014 will bring!
For me 2013 was quite a big year for myself and my blog, with my blog reaching over 100 followers and myself reaching many personal achievements.
I also discovered so many amazing products, all of which I have shared with you on my blog. It was the year I really got into wearing eyeshadows and found quite a few holy grail items. So after much deliberating, I am very excited to share with you my 2013 makeup favourites, part one.

The Foundation
In 2013 I tried some really amazing foundations, but the one that stood out to me has to be the L'Oreal Lumi Magique foundation. I have used it so much as I love the medium coverage and satin finish it provides. It lasts really well on my skin and doesn't break me out, and I will definitely be repurchasing it very soon. I also wanted to quickly mention, although I don't have it with me to photograph, the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation which is another amazing foundation that I have loved using throughout 2013.

The Concealer
I couldn't narrow it down to one concealer as I have used and loved 3 concealers this year.
First up is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which I love using on my 'no makeup' makeup days as it is so light and natural. It looks and feels very light on the skin, yet provides excellent coverage for my dark circles. It has a beautiful satin finish and is super easy to blend.
Next is the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer and the Bobbi Brown corrector, a duo that I always reach for if my dark circles are particularly bad or if I do want that extra, flawless finish. Both products are amazing and provide excellent coverage. The NARS Radiant Creamy concealer is quite a thick, and like the same suggests, creamy concealer. It's coverage is amazing and it is not only really good for covering dark circles, but also for blemishes and redness. The Bobbi Brown corrector is amazing for correcting the darkness under the eyes, and so when paired with the NARS, my dark circles are pretty much banished.

The Blusher
I have two blushes which I absolutely love. Although the Mac Divine Night Mineralize Blush in Talk of the Town is a very recent addition to my collection I have not stopped wearing it. It is a super shimmery rosy bronze colour that looks so stunning once applied. I can imagine this being a stable this Summer.
The Bobbi Brown Pale Pink blush, a super bright pink, I also love as it adds such a pretty flush of colour to my cheeks. The quality is also really good and I adore the simple sleek packaging.

The Eyeshadow
There are 3 eyeshadow palettes which I have used so much throughout 2013.
The Urban Decay Naked Basics palette was my first proper eyeshadow palette, and I have not regretted purchasing it once. I use it most days as all of the shadows are so versatile and are so pretty. The six shadows in the palette are all matte and excellent quality.
The NARS Ride Up to the Moon palette was a palette I just couldn't resist buying. The six shadows are all shimmery and are beautiful. You can create such gorgeous looks with the palette and it is amazing quality.
Finally the MUA Heaven and Earth palette was such a bargain at only £4 and I have used it so much since. Most days I like to take one of the colours and sweep it all over my lid for a quick wash of colour. I find all of the eyeshadows to be pigmented and very good quality.

The Lips
There are quite a few lip products that I always use and absolutely love.
The two Mac lipsticks I love are Rebel and A Perfect Day. Both complete contrasts of eachother but both still beautiful at the same time. Rebel is deep pink plum shade that is perfect for the Autumn and Winter, whereas A Perfect Day is a nude that looks so pretty patted into the lips and goes with any makeup look and outfit.
When Urban Decay released their new Revolution lipsticks I knew I had to try at least one. The colour Native is a gorgeous nude pink that for me, is the perfect everyday pink. The formula is also really lovely and I would definitely purchase more of these lipsticks this year.
The Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya was my Summer lipstick as it is a gorgeous coral peach shade. The formula is so moisturising has gorgeous glossy finish.
The Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecter is another product that I love for my 'no makeup' makeup days as it adds a hint of light pink to the lips whilst being very moisturising.
Lastly the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm has been a staple for this Autumn and Winter when my lips were more dry as it is so moisturising and nourishing. It is definitely worth it if you do want to splash out on a really good lip balm.

The Palette
The palette of 2013 for me has to be the NARS Guy Bourdin Crime of Passion Eye Cheek and Lips palette. Although this has only been with me since Christmas day, for me it is one of the most stand out products of 2013. In the palette is a lipgloss in Deep Throat, 3 beautiful eyeshadows, Deep Throat blush which is probably my all time favourite blush and Laguna bronzer which I am in love with. The lipgloss gives a beautiful colour and shine to the lips, whilst you can create a gorgeous look with the eyeshadows. Laguna bronzer I also love so much as it adds warmth to the face but isn't too dark or orange.
I can see myself using the palette so much this year and already have my eyes on repurchasing Laguna bronzer.

So finally they are my 2013 makeup favourites.
2013 has been an amazing year for discovering new products and trying out new things.
I have definitely tried different makeup and looks this year but doing that has led me to some of my all time favourite products.
I really hope you enjoyed reading about my 2013 makeup favourites, and stay tuned for the next part where I will be covering my favourite skincare, bodycare and nail products of the year.
