Fashion, Make Up And Skincare Haul!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well. Today I wanted to do a collective haul, including fashion, make up and skincare.
I hope you enjoy this post and leave me a link below if you have done a collective haul too!

I will start with a couple of make up items first.
I have already done a review on the Bobbi Brown BB cream (click HERE) but I thought I would show you anyway. I got this at the beginning of the month and have really enjoyed using it, especially in the warmer weather. I will definitely carry on using it in the winter months as it is quite moisturising, but without being too oily or greasy.

I know this doesn't look like anything special, but the other day I got another sample of the YSL Touche Eclat Foundation, this time in BR10. I have done a 'first impressions' post already on this foundation as I got a sample but in the shade BR30, which was too dark. Hopefully this shade will be better and I can do a full review for you guys.
Lastly for make up items is the Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer. I got this yesterday so have only used it this morning. I don't yet have a full view on this concealer but I will be doing a review in the up coming weeks.

Moving onto a few skincare items is the Mac Fix+. I have heard really good things about this product and really wanted to try it out. I will be doing a review on it but I will say that I am really enjoying using it so far.
Lastly are these 2 products from the brand Good Things. These were on offer in Boots and so I picked up the Five Minute Facial Mask and the Stay Clear Cleanser. I will also be reviewing these soon so stay tuned if you want to see those.
Onto my last 2 purchases. This is a bracelet I picked up from Forever 21. I love this as it is quite a statement bracelet and is a really good size for my small wrists. I have been wearing this quite a lot since I bought it, I LOVE it!
And last but by no means least is this cream knitted jumper from River Island. If you saw my fashion wishlist you will know that I wanted a knitted jumper for winter. When I saw this in River Island I had to try it on. It is really warm and soft and the sleeves are a really good length. It isn't the exact jumper I showed in my fashion wishlist, but it was what I had in mind.

Ok so that is it for my haul, let me know if you like seeing these hauls, or if you have any requests for posts.
I hope you enjoyed this and thank you for reading.

My Nail Polish Storage

Hello Everyone!
Today I wanted to show you how I store my nail polishes.
Yesterday arrived in the post the nail polish stand that I ordered from Amazon. It was £9.90 and said to hold 30 bottles which I think is correct, but it does depend on how big your nail polishes are etc.

I thought I would show you how I like to organise my nail polishes, I find the stand a really easy way to store them as it is a great size and looks really good. It is a clear acrylic stand with 3 'shelves' to put your nail polishes on.
I like to organise mine from dark to light, with the brands ranging from 17, Essie, Catrice Cosmetics, and then a Sinful Colours, Jessica, Rimmel and Sephora nail polish. I start off with grey/blues, then purples, reds, and then pinks. I know I haven't done this that well but I still find it easy to find a colour I want.
I haven't filled my stand yet, but on the first shelf I like to store my top coats, base coats and nail care, and also nail files.

Let me know how you like to store your nail polishes, or if you too store them the same way as me.
I hope you enjoyed this quick post today and enjoy the rest of your week.
Thank you.

Review: Chanel Rouge Coco Shine

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well. Today I wanted to do a review on the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy'.
I actually got this in May and have been meaning to do a review on it ever since.

To begin with, a quick word on the packaging.
Like all Chanel products the packaging is beautiful. Lovely glossy black casing with the gold strip around.

The Chanel website describe this lipstick as;

"As melt-away as a balm, its lip-embracing texture becomes fluid on contact with the lips and provides a stunning gloss effect with natural shine. Deliciously fresh and soft, it delivers an unforgettable sensation of well-being.

Lips are enveloped in the incomparable comfort of continuous 8-hour-long hydration thanks to the Hydratender complex, the secret behind the softness of the ROUGE COCO range"

I would say that this product is more like a balm than a lipstick as it is very light on the lips and sheer, which is what I love.
As you can see, the swatch on my hand shows that it is quite sheer. The shade 'Boy' I would describe as a mid-tone pink with no shimmer. It is a gorgeous everyday colour that is so easy to apply even without a mirror.

As Chanel claim, this product leaves your lips with a nice shine, it is not really glossy but I like that. I also love that it is so light on the lips and how it is quite hydrating. It does also leave your lips soft like they claim.
The Rouge Coco Shine's come in a variety of shades which I think is really good and if you're not a fan of lipstick but don't like that sticky feeling of lipgloss on your lips, than these are perfect.

However, there are a few things that I am not keen on.
Firstly is the price, they retail for £23. I know Chanel is a very expensive brand but after all, they're really just a tinted lip balm.
I also find that this product does not last well on the lips. Chanel say that this will provide 8 hours of hydration. This for me is definitely wrong. I would say this lasts about 1-2 hours on me before I need to re-apply it again, which I have to say is very poor.

Overall I probably wouldn't re-purchase another one of these myself. Although I very much enjoy using and wearing it, I am not sure they're worth £23 due to the longevity. I do not regret buying it, and I think they would make wonderful gifts, but I personally would rather spend that money else where.
I would recommend them though and say that they're worth trying, but I think there might be better items on the market, sorry Chanel!

I hope you enjoyed this review, please let me know if you have tried one of these and what you think?
Also let me know if you know of any dupes?
Thank you for reading and I will see you soon!

How To: Make Your Lashline Appear Fuller

Hello Everyone!
Hope you're all well. Today I want to try and do something a bit different....a how-to post!
I wanted to show you how to make your (upper) lashline appear fuller and thicker without wearing mascara.
I personally don't wear mascara everyday, but the days when I am without, I always feel that my eyes are very bare. Now, I have few eyelashes, they're fair and quite sparse and so now I like to do this little trick after learning it from Tanya (pixi2woo).

All you will need is your favourite black eyeliner. The one I used was the Jemma Kidd I-Glamour Define Eyeliner in 01 black.
As you can see my eyes are very bare with nothing on, and I feel they look quite tired and boring with nothing on. (Oh and please excuse my crazy brows!)
However, the tip I learnt from Tanya is to apply eyeliner to the outer half of your upper lashline. I know close-up it doesn't look like much, but from far away it does make a difference. Your eyelashes look fuller and thicker and I find my eyes look more awake.
I do relise this isn't rocket science and that a lot of people do this anyway. But if you are like me and don't wear mascara everyday but want a little something that makes your eyes appear fuller, than I recommend trying this out.

So that wraps up my first how-to post. I know this was probably a tad boring but I thought I would show you what I like to do when I don't wear mascara. Of course you can do this as well as wearing mascara, and then I find the eyeliner helps even more.

Anyways, I really hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any other hints or tips for making your lashline appear fuller I would love to hear them!
As always thank you so much for reading.

Love,

First Impressions: L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream

Hello Everyone!
Once again I am back to do a first impressions post. Today it is on the L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream.
I requested a sample a while ago now and have already done a post on the foundation sample they sent as well (click HERE for that).
But today I wanted to talk about their (quite) new BB cream.

What the L'Oreal website claim that this product;

"Our first self adjusting BB cream. Moisturising skincare transforms to lightweight foundation. Skin looks flawless and even with a dewy glow"

As you can see from these pictures, the BB cream does self-adjust. It starts off as a thin, white liquid with tiny grey particles in it and once you start blending it turns colour. To me, that in itself is quite amazing!
Unfortunately though, the sample they sent was in the colour 'Medium', and although it is meant to adjust to your skintone, it still adjusted to dark which is why this post is not a full review.

When applying the product, I thought it was quite hard to blend. It might have been the way I was applying it, but I found it hard to blend and quite patchy in some areas.
As you can see it is too dark for me and I found around my nose, chin and hairline, it to be patchy. However, it did offer good coverage and it helped cover redness and even out skintone.
I have combination skin, but I didn't notice a particularly "dewy glow", like L'Oreal claim. To me, the Garnier BB cream had a "dewy glow" (first impressions click HERE), but this didn't.
I did though find it lightweight which is really nice to have, especially in warm weather. Unlike the Garnier BB cream, the consistency is quite thin and runny, however it still gives good coverage.
Unfortunately I can't really comment on the lasting time, although I think it would be ok. From what I tried, I think this BB cream would be ok for normal - combination skin types.

I think this BB cream has pro's and con's, like most things in life. It is not the worst BB cream I have tried, but I do think there are better.
Please let me know if you too have tried this BB cream and if it works for you?

I hope you enjoyed this 'first impressions' post, I am sorry it is not a full review. Thank you for reading and if you want, please follow as it would make my day :)

Review: Jemma Kidd I-Glamour Define Eyeliner

Hello Everyone!
Hope you're all well. Today I am going to do a quick review on the Jemma Kidd I-Glamour Define Eyeliner in 01 Black.
I got the eyeliner free in the September issue of Elle magazine, the eyeliner itself is worth £14 and you can get it in different colours.
I am not usually one to wear eyeliner, however, I thought I would try it out and do a review for you guys.

The eyeliner itself is double ended, one end is the actual product, the other a smudge brush if you wish to smudge the eyeliner. I find the smudge brush quite harsh to use around the eye area so I prefer to use a different brush or my fingers.

The Jemma Kidd website describe this eyeliner as;

"With a velvety soft texture and handy smudging tool, the dual-purpose Jemma Kidd I-Glamour Define Eyeliner is a must-have make-up staple to help create an array of day-to-night looks.
Enriched with seed butter for creamy, glide-on application, this pro eyeliner adds definition without dragging or discomfort, whilst also allowing essential play time, followed by smudge-resistant results throughout the day"

When applying the eyeliner, I find it quite creamy and easy to apply like Jemma Kidd claim. It does sometimes drag, but that could just be me not used to applying eyeliner.
It has good pigmentation and lasts about 6 hours before fading.
I do find though it can sometimes transfer to my lid which really doesn't look good.
I like to apply it on the outer half of my upper lashline, I personally don't line my waterline or tightline as my eyes are quite sensitive when it comes to putting make up around them.
As you can see the pigmentation is good. I also like how the colour isn't too harsh as some black eyeliners can be.

I think the eyeliner is good, but not amazing. I'm not sure if it's worth £14 as I also think there are better eyeliners on the market which cost less.
If you have ever tried this eyeliner, please let me know what you think of it?

I hope you enjoyed this quick review and thank you for reading.

My Fashion Wishlist #1

Hi Everyone!
Today I wanted to do my first ever fashion wishlist.
I don't tend to buy clothes that often but I thought I would show you some current items that I would love to buy. Hopefully they may give you some ideas or you may see something you like too.
Firstly are these flats from Topshop. I love these so much and they also remind my of the Tory Burch Quilted Leather Kaitlin flats which I think are gorgeous.

Next is this cream jumper from River Island. I really want to buy a cream jumper for winter as I think they look gorgeous with some simple skinny jeans and boots. I think this is a really nice jumper that will last you forever.

The next two items are kinda boring. These are just two basic vests from H&M, but I always wear vests all year round. In winter I like to layer them under my jumpers and cardigans, and then in summer by themselves or under a sheer shirt/blouse. Plus they are only £3.99 each.

I love a bit of stud detailing on clothing so when I saw this on the Warehouse website, I fell in love. I have really been loving shirts this summer and I think this shirt would look gorgeous tucked into a pair of skinny jeans.

After seeing the amazing Ella from Ellanutellax do her fashion wishlist I have been really liking riding boots. These are the Candlish riding boots from Aldo and I think they're gorgeous but sadly way to expensive at £100. However, if you know any shops that do similar riding boots for a cheaper price please let me know as I would love a pair for winter.

So that concludes my current fashion wishlist, I hope you guys enjoyed this and maybe got some inspiration.
Tell me what's on your fashion wishlist too :)
Thank you for reading and I'll see you in my next post.

Review: Clinique Powder Blush "114 Iced lotus"

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all well. Today I want to do a review on the Clinique Powder Blush in "114 Iced Lotus".
I have mentioned this blush before in my most worn things tag and in my current favourite products
I got this a couple of Christmas's back and although I have used it a lot, I still haven't hit pan!
On the Clinique website, it describes the blush as;

"Defining moment for cheeks. Silky formula sweeps effortlessly over cheekbones to create a natural look. Fresh, jet-milled colour builds to desired intensity with custom-sculpting brush. Long-wearing. Stays colour-true. Oil-free"

I would say that this description is pretty accurate.
The blush is very silky and easy to apply. You do get a little angled brush with it which is surprisingly quite soft and nice to use. Also if you were on the go then it is really handy to have, plus there is a little mirror which again is really handy.
The colour Iced Lotus is described as a blue pink with white shimmer which I couldn't agree with more. It is quite a pale lilac colour with shimmer in it. This colour really suits my fair complexion and is really easy to wear as you can build it up to whatever intensity you want it to be, like Clinique claim.

I would say this blush lasts most of the day. It does begin to fade after about 6 hours though.
It is also great for those with oilier skin as it is oil free.

The Clinique blushes retail for £21 which I do think is pricey, but not outrageous.
They do quite a few different colours ranging from pinks to peaches to quite bronzy colours.
My Mum actually has the colour "Aglow" which is a really beautiful golden colour.

So that is all, I hope you enjoyed this review.
Let me know down below if you have any of the Clinique blushes and what you think of them!
Thank you for reading and don't forget to follow if you haven't already as it would really make my day :)

Manicured Nails!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all well. Today I wanted to do something a little different.
Over the last couple of days me and my parents had a short break. In the hotel, me and my mum treated ourselves to a manicure!
It was my first manicure so I was really excited, and now I thought I would show you the end result!

They use 'Jessica' products, which I personally have never tried but my mum has. They look like good quality and so it was great when they gave us a mini nail polish to take home.

Now, please excuse my nails compared to my mum's nails.
The shade I chose was 'Tutti Frutti', a beautiful pale coral/peach colour. This is so nice for summer and really does enhance a tan!
I thought I might as well show you my mum's nails too so you can see her colour. The shade she chose was 'Hi Res Raspberry', a gorgeous bright, raspberry colour.

That's all I wanted to quickly share with you guys, it was just to give you an impression of Jessica nail polishes.
Let me know if you own any Jessica colours and what shades you recommend!
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

First Impressions: Garnier BB Cream

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well.
Today I need to do another 'First Impressions' post on the Garnier BB Cream.
The reason why I keep doing 'first impression' posts is because recently I have been claiming a lot of samples of BB creams, and so far all of the samples I have tried have been too dark for me and so I can't wear them for the whole day or week. I would rather do a full review for you guys, but unfortunately I can't give you a full opinion on the product.

Ok on with my first impressions.
I was able to claim a sample of the Garnier BB Cream which I'm sure many of you will have seen before.
I hadn't seen the best reviews on this but I thought I would try it out to get my own opinion.

The Garnier website claim this product to do 5 things:

" - Evens tone and boosts glow

- Blurs the appearance of pores and imperfections

- Smoothes the appearance of fine lines

- Up to 24hr hydration

- SPF 15"

The shade that was sent was 'Light', which was a touch too dark for me.
When I first opened the sample, the first thing I noticed was the scent. I didn't like it. It was quite strong and for me, quite unpleasant.
On my hand you can see just how thick the BB cream is. The Bobbi Brown BB Cream is thick (review click HERE) but was easy to blend, whereas this I found much harder to blend.
Once blended though, like Garnier claim, it does leave a very dewy, glowy finish. It does make your skin look healthier.
As you can see it does do quite a good job of evening out my skin, and like Garnier say it gives a glowy finish. It has got a thick consistency but it is quite light on the skin and looks natural.

However, many of the reviews I saw though say that this feels quite oily and greasy.
I have combination skin and I personally found this really greasy.
It was a massive turn off for me because even when blending, the actual product feels greasy.
I would only recommend this for those with normal/dry skin. I feel that on combination/oily skin it would make the skin really oily throughout the day.
I can't really comment on how long it wears though throughout the day.

Overall, I am not going to be purchasing this product as I don't think it works well with my skin. However, if you do have dry skin you may want to try this out. as it gives a healthy glow and is hydrating.
This BB cream is intended for those with normal skin, those with combination/oily skin are recommended to use their oil-free version which leaves a matte finish.

I hope you enjoyed my first impression of this, I am sorry it isn't a full review.
If you too want to claim your free sample, click HERE!

Thank you for reading and let me know down below if you have tried this BB cream and what you thought of it.

Love,
Claire xx
